Fall Feeling

It's getting crisp out there and daylight is shortening. It can mean only one thing...Autumn is well and truly here. The season of layering, dark hues and windswept hair. What have you added to your A/W wardrobe? I have bought some nice practical pieces- classic coats, textured knitwear and chunky boots. All high street too! And at an awesome price too! There are some real gems out there in Primark, Zara and Topshop at the moment! I am also going darker in my hair colour next week...I can't wait! The blonde highlights have taken a toll during the summer heat and my hair is crying for some much needed tlc!

This weekend was spent with family and friends....celebrating life! Spending time with Ev's Nephew, going to the cinema (I had a hot date with Denzel- go see the Equalizer...it's brilliant!) and gossiping with old school friends. Hope you all had a fantastic Weekend!

Fierce Shoe Friday

These boots were made for walking...

I.love.these.boots. And guess where they are from? Pennys!

These Pennys/Primark beauties are an absolute steal at €20. I love the dark olive colour as it will go with virtually every colour trouser you own. The heel is super chunky and sturdy and the faux suede keeps the boot looking a lot more expensive then it is!

Well done Pennys! These are on my A/W list!

Top Ten A/W 2013/14 Picks

It's important to update your wardrobe with staples that are on trend but also that you can rotate forever as a timeless piece. Gone are the days where I have bought a whole wardrobe and worn an item only once. I am a way more savvy shopper then previously. All items are High Street except the splurges on the beautiful cloudy grey Givenchy 'Antigona' (which I am dying over...) and the Senso 'Bertie I' boots (rock chic at its finest...). Tartan/Plaid Grunge- Coral Orange- Boyfriend fitting clothes- Statement necklaces- Anglophilia Chic are all top trends at the moment, so here are some pieces that fit the current trends but that will be a continuous highlight in your wardrobe. What are your A/W top picks? I would love to hear...

1. Tomato wool coat (Topshop) 2. Bertie I boots (Senso) 3. Widebrim hat (Folkster) 4. Wide double chain leather belt (Zara) 5. Herringbone Kilt (Topshop) 6. Danna Spike Necklace (Folkster) 7. Bat mobile phone cover (Zara) 8.Givenchy Small Antigona bag (Netaporter) 9. Sweater with transparent sleeves (Zara) 10. Grunge plaid pants (Topshop

Fierce Shoe Friday

Smokin'....

Today's Fierce Shoe Friday is Topshop's 'Absinth Stiletto cut out boot' in burgundy leather. Grey, Black and Burgundy are my staple colours for my a/w palette- and these boots are the perfect addition to adding some smokin hotness to your ootd! They will pair with almost everything, has a cheeky platform to making walking that bit easier and I just love the colour.

Pair these with tartan pants and an oversized jumper or channel your inner 90's cult classic 'Clueless' a la Alicia Silverstone obsession and go school girl with a mini kilt!

Happy Shopping and Happy Friday,
x

Is Autumn all about layers?

Post-summer wardrobe is always described as layering your pieces. I really really want to be able to achieve this look but always end up in a sweat about it....literally! As soon as I am out for five minutes, I break out in such a sweat that the jacket, scarf, jumper, and top are screaming to come off!

I am not unfit or anything, but as soon as I'm out and about, I end up carrying half my wardrobe in my hands. So the key to my A/W wardrobe this year are pieces that are functional but also stylish.

Dublin is blessed with mostly downpours and we get about one/two months of moderately cold weather. It's not the Antarctic or anything, just always wet! The following are on my A/W list of must-haves; I tend to keep a palette of mostly dark colours with mixed fabric textures and a pop of colour in an accessory to funk it up.

I tend to rock a fur/tweed combo, various layers and chunky boots (and obviously the obligatory bit of leopard). What are you most excited about rocking this A/W?
